Re-enable the Data Everywhere Add-In in Excel 2007

At times, Excel Add-Ins will become disabled. Follow these steps to re-enable the Data Everywhere add-in in Microsoft Excel 2007.

  1. Click the Office button in the upper-left corner.
  2. Click "Excel Options" in the lower right of the menu.
  3. Click "Add-Ins" in the left-hand navigation.
  4. At the bottom of the dialog in the "Manage" dropdown, select "COM Add-ins" from the menu, then click "Go...".
  5. Ensure "Data Everywhere" is listed in the dialog.
  6. Check the checkbox next to "Data Everywhere", and then click "OK".
  7. You should now see the Data Everywhere tab in the toolbar.

Sometimes, these steps are not enough to re-enable a disabled Add-In. If you do not see the Data Everywhere ribbon in Excel after following the above steps, please try the following to remove the add-in from the list of "Hard Disabled" add-ins.

  1. Click the Office button in the upper-left corner.
  2. Click "Excel Options" in the lower right of the menu.
  3. Click "Add-Ins" in the left-hand navigation.
  4. At the bottom of the dialog in the "Manage" dropdown, select "Disabled Items" from the menu, then click "Go...".
  5. The Data Everywhere add-in may be listed here. If it is, click on it and then click the "Enable" button.
  6. Once you've completed the above steps, select "COM Add-ins" from the Manage dropdown, click "Go...", and check the checkbox next to Data Everywhere.
